The Museum of American Heritage

rolling hills with the brown grass of fall.

Are you a history buff? Well, then the Museum of American Heritage should be on your to-do list while in Palo Alto. This quaint museum, just a short ride from our Mountain View hotel, is open Fridays through Sundays from 11am – 4pm. For it’s size, the Museum of American Heritage is quite impressive with their unique exhibits that make you feel like you stepped into another era. Check out their current exhibit: An Exhibition of Vintage Pinball Machines, which showcases the different models and makes of pinball machines through time. The Marshall Mathews Garage exhibit is a replica of a 1920s – 40s auto repair shop and currently houses a 1915 Ford Model T Touring car. You can see all these exhibits and more that helped shape America displayed in a century-old home and garden. The Museum of American Heritage is an interesting and affordable (admission is free!) way to spend the afternoon.
